Robin Williams

On Monday, August 11, 2014, the world lost an icon.  Robin Williams, a legendary actor, father, husband, friend, and loved one left this stage and went on to the great stage in the sky. Known for his role as alien, “Mork” in “Mork & Mindy,”  Mrs. Doubtfire in “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Patch Adams,” “Jumanji,” “Good Will Hunting,” and to my generation as “Genie” in “Aladdin,” Robin Williams was a friend and touched everyone one of our lives throughout his life.  His acting accolades are so numerous that we’d spend all day talking about him.
I’m not going to go into the cause of death or the specifics, but I will say this. Let’s keep his family, friends, colleagues, and fans in prayer at this time. They need our love and support.
 Rest in Power Robin Williams,
Love ya,

Sahara Davenport: You Will Be Missed

It is with sadness that I report, that the beautiful Sahara Davenport of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 2, has died at the age of 27.  There has been no word on the cause of death.
Davenport whose real name is Antoine Ashley, was from Dallas, Texas became interested in drag while studying classical dance at Southern Methodist University while studying dance.  He made a name for himself by performing in various clubs and talent shows after moving to New York.
Although coming in seventh on RuPaul’s Drag Race, Davenport went on to success, releasing two singles, “Pump with Me” (2010) and “Go Off” (2011).
Logo has released the following statement:

Logo is profoundly saddened by the passing of Antoine Ashley who fans around the world knew and loved as Sahara Davenport. He was an amazing artist and entertainer who’ll be deeply missed by his Logo family. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family, especially his boyfriend Karl, in their time of need.
