Today marks the start of Kwanzaa. This holiday was created in 1966-1967 by Maulana Karenga. This holiday was created to celebrate African heritage in African-American culture and is observed from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a feast and gift-giving.
The seven principles or Nguzo Saba which are the seven principles of African Heritage celebrated each day. They are as follows:
Kujichagulia: Self Determination
Umija: Collective Work and Responsiblity
Ujamaa: Cooperative Economics
These seven principles are very important in building the Black Culture and Maintaining Our Strength. Think and ponder on these principles during the next 7 days.
Many of you are familiar with Rico Pruitt. Many of you may know him from the hit webseries “About Him” and “About Justin.” He recently made his debut into adult entertainment, modeling, and other avenues. He loves being naked and shows that Black people and non Black People of Color are Nudists without all of the sexual innuendos.
As a nudist, one thing stands. That one thing is that you do not have to have the perfect body. You can be skinny, slim, thick, tall or short. Have a little less or a little more. Sadly in mainstream media and on a lot of nudist websites you see that there are modelesque bodies, model types and ripped to the soul men.
What about us that don’t have that specific “fit” body? Well Nudism is for All Body Types.
Even if you are a plus sized person, do not be dismayed. The nudist life will not judge you. You are welcome. Did you know that experiencing nudism will help you to accept yourself as you are and will allow you to be free to be you. Enjoy being you and don’t let mainstream media tell you that you aren’t perfect.
Many of you know and have read that I am transitioning from Male to Female in the next year. Yes I am a pre-op Transwoman. With that being said, I will be soon changing the title and url of this blog to further reflect my transition and the changes. I still will include material on being Black, Male, Female, and Nudist as I was “born a male.”
Gender Dysphoria is something that I’ve dealt with throughout my childhood, teens, and now my adult life. I feel that it is now time for me to use what I have to reflect those changes and be a voice for the Transgender Community.
